The 9th episode ended with Nam Young finally acknowledging his feelings towards Ro Seo. In it, he stopped her from leaving him and said, “There is no point in running away. Nothing can change my mind. Even if I have another chance to choose again, I will choose you over anything else.” Then he slowly leaned toward her for a kiss.

At the very moment, Lee Si Heum (Choi Won Young) enters the battle with the guards of the crown prince. Ro Seo is startled to find out that Lee Pyo was the crown prince all along.
