Casino is Choi Min Sik’s first TV project in 26 years since MBC’s Love and Separation in 1997. Initially, he was scheduled to work with Kang Yoon Sung in the Korean remake of the movie Intern, presented by Warner Bros Korea. However, the remake project foundered as Warner Bros Korea halted its investment and production in local films in South Korea.

Heo Seong Tae and Kim Joo Ryoung, who played Deok Su and Mi Nyeo in Netflix’s Squid Game, are currently in talks to join the cast of Casino, and Lee Dong Hwi and Jo Jae Yoon have already made their minds to star in the series.

Casino will complete its casting process and start filming in Korea and overseas. The production crew is watching closely the current pandemic situation to comply with the quarantine guidelines and current state of affairs in foreign countries.
