South Korean DJ and musician Shaun is partnering up with Malaysian R&B artist Yuna for new music collaboration.
Yuna will be writing the lyrics and topline, while Shaun will produce the overall track. Both Yuna and Shaun are famous Spotify artists with large followings and millions of streams. Yuna’s distinct R&B style that reflects on the notes of Sade, Aaliyah, and Brandy will join Shaun’s electronic, indie rock and pop sound to create a magical collaboration song.
Representatives from both artists remarked that Yuna and Shaun are “excited and eager” to work together on the collaborative single.
Moreover, the two have created massive anticipation for their upcoming collaborative work as they have both demonstrated their global popularity through streaming success. As of writing this article, Yuna has hit 1,537,046 monthly listeners on Spotify. Two of her most popular songs include “Crush,” with over 82M streams, and “Lullabies,” with more than 8.5 million streams. Shaun has 3,148,877 monthly listeners on Spotify, with his most popular hit being the single ‘Way Back Home’ (featuring Conor Maynard). To date, the song has stacked up more than 231 million streams on Spotify alone.
