Jang Ki Yong Talks About Being an Actor, His Character in ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ and More

Jang Ki Yong from SBS’ upcoming drama, Now, We Are Breaking Up, sat down for an interview and photoshoot for the November issue of Dazed Magazine.

Having a modeling background, Jang Ki Yong said, “it felt strange because I’m more used to having my picture taken than taking pictures of others.” He continued, “So far, I think I like doing both.”

Jang Ki Yong introduced his new role, a fashion photographer named Yoon Jae Guk, by saying, “Ha Young Eun (Song Hye Kyo) is a rational person while Yoon Jae Guk is a guy who goes with his guts.” He continued that Yoon Jae Guk is the type of guy who says things like “What more do you need when I am here for you?” or “You only need to focus on us. Why are you concerned about other things?”

Jang Ki Yong also hinted at their exciting love story, saying, “Yoon Jae Guk and Ha Young Eun clash a lot because their goals are so different. The more they fall in love with each other, the more they realize how different they are.”

Jang Ki Yong also expressed his gratitude towards writer Je In, saying, “Something just felt right from the beginning when I first met her.” He added, “She got me curious to how she would express Yoon Jae Gul through her writing. I want to sincerely thank her for creating such an appealing character.”
