BTS’ single released last year, “Dynamite” has now been certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On the 1st, the RIAA announced new platinum certifications for BTS as the single sold over 300 million copies over the year. The RIAA grants recognition to albums based on the number of sales: 500,000 or more for Gold, 1 million or more for Platinum, and 2 million or more for multi-Platinum.
Currently, BTS holds multiple platinum certifications for three albums and five tracks and has become the k-pop band with the most platinum certifications of all time.
Meanwhile, the music video for “Butter” has surpassed over 600 million views injust five months, and it is the eleventh BTS song to exceed 600 million views.
