aespa is all ready for their comeback.

On the 5th, aespa held a press conference for their first mini-album Savage. The upcoming title track “Savage” is a trap genre song centered on drums and basses with a strong beat. And the lyrics contain the act’s unique worldview. This time, asepa and their avatars “ae” will travel to the wilderness with the help of “nævis” to confront “Black Mamba.”

Winter shared, “We are finally confronting the Black Mamba in the wilderness. And nævis helps us fight it. It’s a song with such a wonderful story, so I hope you’ll look forward to it,” Winter shared. “Last time, I said that I want to win the title of ‘stars of the wilderness,’ but this time, I want aespa to be called ‘the daughters of the wilderness.'”

Giselle added, “We wanted to show more powerful performance while exuding a more relaxed vibe. In all, we want to show how we moved onto the ‘next level.'”

It is said that SM producer Lee Soo Man tried to make the most of aespa’s unique charm this time. Giselle said, “He paid attention to every detail like sound effects and pronunciation. So we prepared it with the thought that we have to show how we have improved.”

Winder commented, “I once heard our fans say, ‘As expected, aespa is great.’ And hearing that makes me happy every time, so I want to hear it again this time.”

Meanwhile, aespa will drop their first mini-album Savage at 6 PM KST today.
