It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and I-LAND were nominated for 49th International Emmy Awards.

The International Emmy Awards is the most prestigious event that runs annually in November to honor excellence in television programming produced outside the US.

According to the official website, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay was listed in the TV Movie / Mini-Series category for the awards ceremony. The drama was also selected as one of the ‘Best TV Show 2020’ by the New York Times in December 2020.

The chief producer of Studio Dragon, So Jae Hyun, expressed his gratitude by saying, “It’s an excellent piece combined with a captivating story, beautiful footage, and the passionate acting of the cast. It is work that still lasts in our hearts. I hope the nomination will open up opportunities for us to receive the final prize.”

I-LAND was nominated in the Non-Scripted Entertainment category. Previously, among Mnet programs, I Can See Your Voice has been selected as the final candidate for the same category in 2016.

Regarding the nomination, Mnet’s chief producer Lee Sun Young, who is also in charge of I-LAND, shared, “I’m so happy and grateful as a creator of both I-LAND and I Can See Your Voice. I hope this could bring good results in promoting the creativity of Korean content.”

The winners of the 49th International Emmy Awards will be announced on November 22nd, KST.
