Former IZ*ONE member Miyawaki Sakura has reportedly finalized her exclusive contract with HYBE.
According to Star News, Miyawaki has now finalized her exclusive contract with HYBE and will officially join a new girl group under Source Music.
Early in this year, the news of Miyawaki’s joining HYBE Labels circulated online. However, it took a while for them to figure out what works best for them due to the difference in opinion between HYBE and her Japanese agency regarding publicity and portrait rights in her native country.
Followed by Miyawaki, Source Music’s new girl group project began to take shape with those who have previously signed with HYBE: IZ*ONE’s Kim Chae Won and Produce 48’s popular trainee Heo Yun Jin.
However, another former IZ*ONE member tapped by HYBE Labels, Kim Minju, seems to be uncertain about her future at HYBE. Currently, the label is planning to launch a new girl group under Source Music, and the act will likely include Miyawaki Sakura, Kim Chae Won, Kim Minju and three other HYBE trainees.
Source Music will be launching two new major girl groups soon, one with the all trainees team handled by director Min Hee Jin and the other with the popular members from IZ*ONE.
