The new TV series Shooting Star is preparing a stellar cast.

On Wednesday, FNC Entertainment confirmed Lee Jung Shin’s appearance on the Shooting Star. He will take the lead as a lawyer specializing in the entertainment industry. Alongside him to join the drama as the leading actor is Park So Jin. To which Noon Company responded, “Park So Jin is positively reviewing the offer she got from ‘Shooting Star.’”

Shooting Star means “various people who have to clean up the mess that celebrities made.” It’s a rom-com series that revolves around Oh Han Byul, the head of the PR team, and Gong Tae Sung, the flawless top star who is also her natural enemy.

Previously, Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae were cast as Oh Han Byul and Gong Tae Sung, respectively. As of now, Ha Do Kwon, Yoon Jong Hoon, and Kim Hye Yoon are in talks to join the cast as well. Above all else, attention focuses on the possible reunion of Kim Young Dae and Yoon Jong Hoon, the stars of The Penthouse.

Meanwhile, Shooting Star is the original project by global streaming platform iQiyi. In Korea, the series has been programmed as the new tvN drama. Screenwriter Choi Young Woo pens the script, and The Witch’s Diner co-director Lee Soo Hyun will helm the production.
