On the 1st, Jung Hae In had an online video interview to promote the new Netflix original series D.P.

D.P. is a series about a special military squad sent to chase down deserters. Young soldiers Jun Ho (Jung Hae In) and Ho Yul (Koo Kyo Hwan)’s assignment to capture army deserters reveals the painful reality endured by each enlistee during his compulsory call of duty. In it, Jung showed off his unique charm as private Ahn Jun Ho, who became a new member of the D.P squad.

Jung Hae In shared, “I’m so happy to hear that the show got great reviews. I’m stunned, and to be honest, it doesn’t feel real yet.” He continued, “I heard the show is also getting some great reviews from abroad. I think the show is relatable to many people from all over the world because the military is like a smaller version of society.” He added with a hearty laugh, “I’ve never received this many congratulatory messages from my actor friends and those in the industry so far. I’m slowly getting how popular it is.”

Jung Hae In commented that the power of the show D.P. lies in its authentic story. “I think the show became popular for its relatable story. The truth can be hurt sometimes, but I think it’s what drew the audiences in.”

He said that he was satisfied with the show as a viewer as well. “I have nothing to say other than the show was spectacular. I saw it at home on the day of the release, and I was stunned. And I am grateful that the show came out so amazing. I can’t wait to see what’s in season 2.”

In fact, a lot of viewers are asking for the second season. Regarding that, Jung Hae In hinted, “I asked the director, and both the director and the writer seem to be working on the script. That’s all I know so far. They have already started writing it, and we are waiting to receive the finished script.”

What drew the most attention was his chemistry with Koo Kyo Hwan. Jung said he was also satisfied with the teamwork. He said, “We can’t leave out the great teamwork. I was actually curious about how the bromance would come out.”

He continued, “Kyo Hwan is a considerate person full of good and positive energy. It took no time for us to get to know each other. When we were filming, I could feel his great kindness and respect. So, I also filmed the series with the utmost respect for him.”

Following D.P., Jung Hae In will meet the viewers in JTBC’s new drama Snowdrop in the second half of the year.
