Recently, the realistic action thriller Hostage: Missing Celebrity has attracted 1 million moviegoers. The movie follows the actor who got kidnapped at dawn one day without any evidence or witnesses.
Ryu Kyung Soo gained fame through JTBC’s hit-drama Itaewon Class. Then not long ago, he played a completely different role in Kakao TV’s Lovestruck in the City, impressing the viewers once again.
And this time, Ryu beat out 1,000 hopefuls for the role of Yeom Dong Hoon in Hostage: Missing Celebrity. Yeom Dong Hoon is the unpredictable number 2 of the criminal organization that kidnapped Hwang Jung Min.
Following his solid performance in Itaewon Class and Lovestruck in the City, Ryu took over the big screen with a vicious role. About working with veteran actor Hwang Jung Min, he commented that it felt like he went to study abroad. “We talked a lot about showing our energy to the audience. And even during our filming, we stressed the passion that we have,” he shared.
