GFRIEND’s Yerin and CIX’s Yonghee will take the lead in the new web drama Witch Store Reopening (working title).
Witch Store Reopening is the new teen rom-com drama about the teens who grow and change through friendship and love. Ji Ho is a timid high school boy who doesn’t have a goal in life. When he meets black witch Lee Hae Na, who struggles with the witch shop that’s about to go under, he starts to help her save her shop.
It’s the sequel to The Witch Store, which aired in 2019 and surpassed 10 million cumulative views. The Witch Store director Jung Sung Bin and writer Ahn Se Hwa will join hands again for the sequel.
Yerin will play black witch Lee Hae Na, the owner of the witch street. She’s beautiful and smart, but her business skills are somewhat lacking. Meanwhile, Yerin will play her first lead role with the project. Since GFRIEND had abruptly announced its disbandment earlier this year, attention focuses on Yerin’s second chapter as an actress.
Yonghee turns into high school boy Ji Ho. He’s a capable person who can accomplish anything once he puts his mind to it. But it’s impossible to make him put his mind to something. He starts to work part-time at a witch shop by chance and becomes an irreplaceable person for the shop, even more than the witch herself. Yonghee will make her acting debut with the project.
Witch Store Reopening is set to premiere in December.
