Honest Candidate 2 finalized its cast list as the film had begun production on July 31st.
Honest Candidate, which was �released in February 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic, had an impressive box office run attracting over 1.5 million moviegoers.
The sequel Honest Candidate 2 will follow Joo Sang Sook’s chaotic journey of her returning to the political field with her lips that can’t tell any lies.
Ra Mi Ran, who won the Best Actress award at the 41st Blue Dragon Awards with Honest Candidate, will once again play the politician Joo Sang Sook. Kim Moo Yeol will play Park Hee Chul, an aide who loyally stood by Joo, and Yoon Kyung Ho will also return as Joo’s immature husband, Bong Man Sik.
Furthermore, Flower of Evil actress Seo Yeon Woo and Sunny actress Park Jin Joo, who also starred in the drama and Jealousy Incarnate, will join the cast, including the popular singer Yoon Doo Joon who has excelled in Let’s eat together, Splash Splash Love, and more.
Director Jang Yoo Jung will continue to exec produce the sequel, Honest Candidate 2.
