Expectations for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha rose through the roof with the new trailer.
The first teaser for tvN’s new weekend series Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha was released. And the sight of Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho on the same screen made us smile like a fool for 30 seconds straight.
The upcoming series, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, is a healing romance drama between ‘realist’ dentist Yoon Hye Jin and an unemployed man Hong Du Sik who goes by ‘Chief Hong’ in his town. The meeting of the two actors and Oh My Ghost and Tomorrow With You director Yoo Jae Won is already at the center of attention.
Today, the first teaser became a hot topic by showing only Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho‘s faces. First, Shin and Kim appear one after another in a narrow alleyway as they walk with a smile on their faces. Soon, the screen moves to the seashore village Gongjin. The blue sky, the blue sea, the green barley field, and the two of them walking apart – everything that’s shown on the screen gives off a romantic vibe.
Moreover, a clear difference in these two characters’ lifestyles was captured. First, Shin is jogging in the middle of a forest made with tall buildings, while Kim enjoys surfing the emerald-colored sea. The phrase that reads, “Our hearts started to dance in late summer when the waves glisten,” heightens the expectations.
Meanwhile, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha will premiere on August 28th at 9 PM KST. The series will also be unveiled on Netflix.
