The Production Responds To Reports Of Two-Episode Extension
The Penthouse 3: War in Life will eventually be getting an extension of two episodes.
SBS’ The Penthouse 3, which airs one episode every Friday, will add two more episodes to the original show. According to the officials, the production has decided to extend the series to 14 episodes from the original 12 episodes. Previously, the first and second seasons were also extended by one more episode.
Unlike the previous seasons, The Penthouse 3 has a running time of 80 minutes per episode and airs once a week. So, by getting the extension, the series will be having the same screen time as a 16-part mini-series, which lasts 65 minutes. Currently, the actors are notified of the news. Although it is one episode, their appearance fees were adjusted accordingly due to the additional running time per episode.
The first episode of the third season started off recording viewership ratings of 19.5 percent. So far, its average ratings are currently hovering around 16 to 17 percent. The remaining episodes are expected to show how this series will come to an end, considering Oh Yoon Hee (Yoo Jin)’s sudden death and much-unfinished business between the characters.
The 23rd episode is scheduled to be canceled.
