The new exorcism movie White Day: Exorcism School (literal title), starring SF9’s Chani and Park Yoo Na, confirmed the September release.

According to JNC Media Group, White Day: Exorcism School has confirmed its September commercial release. This new horror fantasy movie depicts a boy’s struggle to save his friends from evil spirits. Together, they cause strange phenomena at school late at night.

Chani, who has shown an impressive performance in SKY Castle, plays Hee Min. He’s the successor of Korea’s best exorcist, but he hasn’t fully realized his power yet. This will be his first-ever series about exorcism.

Park Yoo Na takes on the role of So Young, a girl who holds a secret about the curse that fell upon the school. Especially, Park Yoo Na and Chani have previously worked together in SKY Castle and True Beauty. Moreover, veteran actor Jang Kwang will add strength to the story.

The movie is based on the popular game “White Day: A Labyrinth Named School.” The exorcism genre has been on the rise in Korea recently, followed by the success of the film The Priests and TV series The Uncanny Counter and Sell Your Haunted House.

The released teaser poster shows Chani staring straight at something ominous. Plus, the caption that reads “The barrier of evil spirits is broken, and he has awakened” stimulates curiosity.
