JYP Entertainment will hold the second season of “Nizi Project.” In partnership with SONY Music, they will present the boy group version of NiziU.
JYP and Sony Music held an online press conference in Korea and Japan on the 12th. On this day, they officially started the second season of “Nizi Project.” As a joint project, they plan to discover the members that will follow the success of NiziU.
The start of this project will be a global audition. Auditions will be held in 8 cities in Japan (Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo, and more) and 3 more cities (Seoul, LA, New York). Plus, the applicants will be judged in a total of 6 criteria: vocal, dance, model, rap, lyricist, and composer.
Anyone that graduated middle school and is under the age of 22 can apply for the auditions, which will be held from November to December. JYP will announce the debut members in December 2022, and the group will make its official debut in March 2023.
“I remember when I first announced ‘Nizi Project’ with anxiety two years ago,” JYP shared. “I was surprised by all the support we had received, and even now, I still can’t believe it.”
Shunsuke Muramatsu added, “Applicants and their parents can take part in JYP’s training. We will tell you a different story from season 1.”
Also, NiziU showed up during the event. Lima said, “I think the charm of the ‘Nizi Project’ is that all the applications work together to grow.”
