Bigwang, starring Ha Ji Won, Ryu Seung Ryong, and Kim Si Ah, has finally started filming after a year.

On June 23rd, Bigwang officially began its filming. Directed by Miss Baek director Lee Ji Won, Bigwang tells the story of a glamorous couple who struggle to retrieve what’s theirs after crashing hard to the ground for getting involved in a shady case. Initially, the movie was supposed to start filming last year, but the production was delayed due to many reasons. However, Contents Nandakinda stepped into the picture as the new investor and resumed production.

Contents Nandakinda started making aggressive investments. The company is tapped as the co-distributor of Boston 1947 with Lotte Entertainment. Also, they are currently in the post-production stage of One Win (starring Song Kang Ho and Park Jung Min) and She Died (starring Shin Hye Sun and Byun Yohan).

Choi Hyun Mook, CEO of Contents Nandakinda, shared, “The only way to survive is to secure competitive IPs. The current crisis in the content market will be an opportunity for us since we have been continuously developing works of various genres.”

Meanwhile, Ha Ji Won turns into Nam Mi, a has-been star. Ryu Seung Ryong plays Hwang Joong Goo, a former baseball player who had to leave behind his glorious past. Set primarily in summer, Bigwang will continue filming for the next three months.
