YG uploaded a short clip that quickly looks back on the past five years of BLACKPINK.
On June 23rd, YG released a special video for BLACKPINK’s upcoming “4+1 PROJECT.” This clip highlights some of the best moments of their numerous music videos, including members celebrating their past four anniversaries.
Especially, the agency revealed the meanings behind the project’s name that has raised many speculations. According to the video, BLACKPINK girls plan to look back on their 5-year career with their fans, Blinks. Therefore, “4” from the “4+1 PROJECT” represents the 4 BLACKPINK members, and “1” represents Blinks.
Earlier this month, YG announced the beginning of the “4+1 PROJECT” to commemorate BLACKPINK’s 5th anniversary. As part of this project, BLACKPINK THE MOVIE �will be screened in 100 countries on August 8th.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members shared their joy, saying, “Everything was possible thanks to our Blink, who has always stayed with us for five years. We’re preparing a total of five events ahead of our 5th anniversary. We hope for Blinks to enjoy them.”
