Kingdom: Ashin of the North unveiled its first main poster and second teaser.
Kingdom: Ashin of the North tells the origin story of the resurrection plant, which has brought an immense tragedy to Joseon and Ashin. This sequel of the Kingdom series will be on Netflix as a special episode.
The main poster released today finally had Jun Ji Hyun in it. Her determined expression and a firm grip on a bow exude the actress’s charisma. So how will the story of Ashin, who faces a cruel fate after finding the resurrection plant, unfold?
The second teaser begins with a tiger attacking people in a deep forest. Soon, young Ashin appears and tells her father that she found a strange plant that’s supposed to bring back the dead. His father expresses his concerns, but Ashin decides not to give up on saving her ill mother.
But as the images of corpses, wild animals, screaming people, and soldiers overlap, great chaos comes along. Soon, in the second half of the teaser, Ashin vows vengeance, saying, “Make them shed tears of blood.”
The copy that reads, “Death that will devour Joseon begins,” implies that the great tragedy in the previous season began with the Kingdom: Ashin of the North.
Meanwhile, the 92-minute special episode Kingdom: Ashin of the North will be on Netflix on July 23rd.
