BamBam Makes Triumphant Solo Debut; ‘riBBon’ MV Garners 10 Million Views in One Day

BamBam has made a triumphant solo debut with his first solo album, riBBon.

BamBam’s “riBBon” music video, released on the 15th at 6 PM KST, surpassed 10 million views within 24 hours of release. “riBBon” is a hopeful song with an addictive melody, and the music video flawlessly captures the colorful and bouncy charm of the singer.

riBBon‘s impressive record doesn’t stop there. Not only did its title track “riBBon” ranked first in Genie Chart, but it has also debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs Chart in 29 countries. The album has also topped iTunes Top Album Charts in 34 countries.

BamBam came to Korea at a young age and finally debuted as a member of GOT7 in 2014 after years of training. In his home country, Thailand, he enjoys national wide popularity, becoming the face of multiple companies. In a recent interview, the singer expressed his desire to be recognized in Thailand and Korea.

“K-pop was the reason that I fell in love with music in the first place. I started dancing because of K-pop, and I dreamt of becoming a singer because of K-pop,” said BamBam during the press conference. “K-pop is one of the greatest genres of music. It has the power to bring people from all over the world together.”

Starting today, BamBam will begin full-scale promotions. He is scheduled to perform on Music Bank, Show! Music Core, Inkigayo, and The Show.
