The 12-part series A Wonderful Sight will begin filming in June and air in October as JTBC’s Friday-Saturday series. Previously, the show has become the talk of the town as Lee Young Ae’s comeback project. It is expected to be a hard-boiled detective comedy series that centers around the insurance investigator Koo Kyung Yi. She will investigate a serial murder case where all the deaths are set up to look like an accident.

Nobody Knows and Falsify director Lee Jung Heum helms the production, while rookie writer team Sung Choi will pen the script. Besides Lee Young Ae, Kingdom actress Kim Hye Jun was cast to play K. Plus, Hospital Playlist actress Kwak Sun Young and Kim Hae Sook have also joined the cast lineup.

Another KeyEast project was programmed as JTBC series to premiere in December, and that’s the 16-part series Only One Person. It’s a new human romance series about a terminally ill woman and a low-life man becoming “the only one” in each other’s life. Matrimonial Chaos writer Moon Jung Min has joined hands with Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Find Me in Your Memory director Oh Hyun Jong for the production. Moreover, Hospital Playlist actress Ahn Eun Jin takes the lead role with Into the Ring actor Park Sung Hoon. Alongside them are Red Velvet’s Joy and Go Doo Shim, who have joined the cast lineup.

Meanwhile, KeyEast recently recruited a producer from A Stor who successfully led Signal and Kingdom to success to strengthen its competitiveness and production capabilities. He was put in charge of the company’s upcoming tent-pole projects. And the list includes writer Seo Sook Hyang’s Ask the Stars with a budget of 40 billion KRW (about $35,319,805) and K-pop drama Illumination.
