‘Waiting for Rain’ Topped the Weekend Box Office, Whetting Viewers’ Appetite

With its opening on April 28th, Waiting for Rain became the film to head the Korean weekend box office.

The film Waiting for the Rain unfolds as Yeong Ho, and So Hee coincidentally become each other’s happiness through a letter. The two promise to meet on December 31st, but only if it rains.

Waiting for Rain, the top box office, attracted 91,191 moviegoers over the weekend, surpassing 174,719 audiences. Critics predict a flourishing trend in the following second week. Waiting for Rain is a story that wins the audience’s sympathy with the passionate performance of Kang Ha Neul and Chun Woo Hee. The humble yet beautiful tale of youth which resonated with all generations is quickly going viral among the audience.

The movie will continue its success on the second week at the Korean box office. And it will bring a spring breeze to the theater with the heartwarming plot.

Waiting for Rain, which topped the box office by wining the audiences’ heart, is available in South Korea, U.S.A, and Taiwan.
