The superstar BTS will be participating in the upcoming Grammy Awards as a nominee and a performer.
According to the announcement by the Recording Academy, BTS has been named in the performers list, alongside Cardi B, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Roddy Rich, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.
With the list, Recording Academy shared, “This year artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all.”
BTS made a new history in K-pop music history when they were nominated for the “BEST POP DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE” category with their hit song “Dynamite” (released in August 2020) for the 63rd Grammy.
This marks the third consecutive year that BTS has participated in the Grammy, one of the most honored and respected award ceremonies. The group got on the Grammy stage for the first time in 2019 as a presenter, and last year, they showcased a joint performance with rapper Lil Nas X. This year, these global stars will be on stage as a performer and a nominee of a major award.
The 63rd Grammy Awards will be broadcast live worldwide on CBS on March 14.
