KBS is considering postponing Dear. M‘s premiere date.
On Feb 24, Starnews reported that KBS staff is currently debating over “sticking to the original plan” or “postponing” the upcoming schedules for their new Friday drama Dear. M. This is all because of the ongoing school violence scandal of Park Hye Soo, the female lead of the drama.
An official shared, “We are discussing postponing Dear. M schedules. We don’t know if the allegations against the actress are true or false, but the debate is only growing, so it’s a bit burdensome for us to process with the planned schedules. We are keeping an eye on the situation.”
The premiere episode of Dear. M will air on Feb 26 at 11:10 pm KST. Prior to the first broadcast, the press conference was scheduled to be held online at 2 pm KST on the same day. However, with the recent school violence controversy that involves Park Hye Soo, the drama now hangs on the reef.
After the rumors of her school bullying sparked, Park Hye Soo’s appearance on KBS Radio Cool FM’s Jung Eun Ji’s Gayo Plaza and KBS’s You Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook were canceled.
Meanwhile, Dear. M is a youth romance drama about the campus-wide search for the mysterious “M,” an individual who wrote the post on the online community that turned the entire college upside down. Park Hye Soo, NCT’s Jaehyun, Roh Jeong Eui, Bae Hyun Sung, Lee Jin Hyuk, and Woo Dabi will star in the project.
