A dark hero even more vicious than a villain is on his way? tvN’s new weekend drama Vincenzo, which will premiere on Feb 20, tells the story of an Italian mafia lawyer who returns to Korea after being betrayed by his own organization, wiping out the villain in a villain’s way with a veteran lawyer. Money Flower and The Crowned Clown director Kim Hee Won and Chief Kim and The Fiery Priest screenwriter Park Jae Bum have joined forces to illustrate the justice of a hero who has a darker will than villains.
Song Joong Ki – Vincenzo
He is the consigliere of the Italian mafia “Casano Family.” He’s absolutely loyal to his boss and his family is the law. He is the best lawyer who cleans up the mess neatly, and nobody can refuse his proposals. He gives as good as he gets and has excellent martial arts skills but hides it. He is always a gentleman towards ladies, but he has zero belief in love. After meeting Cha Young, he unexpectedly goes up against injustice.
Jeon Yeo Bin – Hong Cha Young
She is an ace lawyer of the law firm “Woo Sang” who is heavily armed with spite and desire to win. For Cha Young, the absolute standard is not good or bad, but profitable or nonprofitable. With this belief, she does what’s needed by hook or by crook. Success and purposes are the only driving force for her growth, and she has no particular interest in justice.
Ok Taec Yeon – Jang Jun Woo
He is a handsome intern lawyer of the law firm “Woo Sang.” He is a simple and innocent young man who studied abroad. He follows around his sunbae Cha Young and has special feelings for her, so his dream is to start a workplace romance with her. However, Cha Young left the company, and to make matters worse, Vincenzo is always next to her, starting a whirlwind in his mind.
Kim Yeo Jin – Choi Myung Hee
She is the ace prosecutor of the Southeast District Prosecutors’ Office. She seems frugal and somewhat plain on the outside, but inside, she harbors a poisonous snake. She doesn’t even blink an eye in performing merciless acts if it’s for her goal.
Kwak Dong Yeon – Jang Han Seo
He is the chairman of the “Babel Group.” He has no guilt and doesn’t hesitate to commit violence for his own good, but at the same time is a coward. He lies, powertrips and tyrannizes habitually but is terrified of standing on a photo line or getting sent to a lockup. He is pathologically obsessed with winning, and he has to win no matter how trivial the game might be.
Jo Han Chul – Han Seung Hyuk
He is the CEO of Korea’s top law firm “Woo Sang.” He succumbs to the strong and thoroughly tramples down the weak. Thinking that he is to get a huge share in the near future, he goes all-in on Babel Group. He recruits Myung Hee for his goal, but he is soon cornered when Vincenzo stepped into the picture.
Yoo Jae Myung – Hong Yoo Chan
He is the CEO and lawyer of the law firm “Jipuragi,” which is located on the outskirts of Seoul and in a rundown plaza building. Back when he was a human rights lawyer, he lost his wife in an accident and drifted apart from his daughter Cha Young. As the legal representative of the plaza residents, he guards against Vincenzo, who showed up with the building owner, but the more time he spends with him, they build trust for each other and leads Vincenzo to a new life by changing his values.
