iKON is coming back in about a year.
YG Entertainment has officialized their comeback as a whole with a coming soon poster on the 15th. In the poster was seen the six members looking at the camera in a mature, calm, and collected manner. Whilst the details such as the release date, or the type of album are yet unknown, expectations of global fans are already soaring.
iKON earlier drew public attention with the news about their new music video shooting. Considering that the music video is the last step of work before releasing the new song, it seems that their comeback is not too far away.
The group was reorganized into a six-member group, as they established a new identity through their third mini-album i DECIDE which was released last February. The album topped the iTunes charts in 24 different countries including Japan, at the time.
Bobby was also well-received by fans and the public as he topped various global music charts with his second full-length album LUCKY MAN. Despite such success, he stopped his solo activities in order to focus more on the comeback.
After debuting in 2015, the group has produced a number of outstanding hit songs such as “MY TYPE,” “LOVE SCENARIO,” and “KILLING ME”. It is anticipated what iKON will bring to the scene, especially as they demonstrated growth in each comeback.
The group has also confirmed to appear in Mnet’s boy group survival program Kingdom, which is scheduled to kick off on April 1st.
