This year’s contest is also expected to capture the lively plot development and sensual production of things in our daily lives, under the theme of “The Story That Can Soon Happen to Us.”
Cha Hak Yeon will be playing the role of Koh Do Young in the show. The Fair is a coming-of-justice drama in which the protagonist tries to punish the perpetrator who aired his murders live 7 times on a virtual criminal program (VCP).
The singer and actor will play the role of Do Young, the operator who killed seven victims and broadcasted the entire process live online. He is a problematic figure who reveals his violence only when dealing with his victims while carrying out action scenes. Do Young is a character who is weak in front of the strong and strong in front of the weak. Expectations are rising for Cha Hak Yeon’s new transformation as he will demonstrate the psychological changes Do Young goes through.
“I’m happy to be able to say hello to you with another good work,” he said as he decided to appear in the show. “The character of Do Young excites me as I would get to show a different side of me through him. I also felt a lot of pressure and was concerned about how I could act the character of Do Young, who is in no way light nor frivolous. I will do my best to repay the viewers with good acting skills,” he stated.
tvN’s Drama Stage 2021: The Fair will kick off on March 3rd at noon KST.
