Solo artist Sunmi is making a comeback.
Sunmi’s agency MAKEUS Entertainment revealed to Newsen on the 2nd of February that Sumi is preparing the release of her new song, with the end of February as the goal for her comeback.
With the dates confirmed, this is about 8 months after Sunmi’s last comeback. She released the digital single “Pporappippam” on June 29th of last year.
Making herself at home with MAKEUS Entertainment after leaving JYP Entertainment, Sunmi rose as a powerful artist with triple hit songs “Gashina”, “Heroine”, and “Siren.” “LALALAY” and “Pporappippam” also earned enthusiastic responses from music fans not only within Korea but globally.
In August of last year, the artist also worked with her mentor Park Jin Young (JYP) on “When We Disco.” Hence, expectations are high on what kind of vocals and performances she will bring to the table this time with the new song, especially as this is Sunmi’s return after a long time.
