BTS has been named the 10 Best Pop Bands of All Time with The Beatles and Queen by American magazine Esquire.
On Jan 31 (local time), Esquire released the list for their choice of “The Best Pop Bands of All Time Prove the Universal Power of Music.”
They explained their choice, writing, “While K-Pop as a genre has been around for decades, BTS is arguably one of the vanguard acts to pioneer K-Pop’s immeasurable worldwide success. With a fanbase that is aptly described as “ARMY,” BTS’s beloved septet has rapidly redefined boy bands, fandoms, and pop music itself.”
The rest of the list includes Destiny’s Child, The Temptations, ABBA, The Beach Boys, Sly and the Family Stone, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and The Supremes.
Esquire also shared, “Their hits ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Life Goes On’ offer a blend of pop, hip-hop, disco, and R&B, with catchy melodies that are often laced with social commentary-based lyrics.”
Meanwhile, BTS decorated the cover of the Winter 2020/21 issue of Esquire and the magazine dedicated a lengthy article for the superstars, including their rush to the Grammys.
