The director for MBC’s new drama Oh Master!, set to premiere in March, might be replaced.
According to MBC, the current director Hyun Sol Ip was recently referred to the disciplinary committee after someone blew the whistle on her. The specific reason wasn’t disclosed, but that the complaint is said to have been submitted from the filming site.
An official from the network shared, “The replacement of the director is under discussion after the disciplinary committee finalized the disciplinary action. The topic is currently under discussion within the drama bureau, but nothing has been confirmed at the moment.”
Oh Master! is a romantic comedy about a drama writer who “chooses not to” date and a “romantic comedy queen” actress who “cannot” date. Lee Min Ki, Nana, Kang Mi Hyuk and more have confirmed their appearances.
Another interesting fact to note is that Oh Master! is the first mini-series that MBC is preparing for since they found the need to reorganize since Kairos and The Spies Who Loved Me.
Meanwhile, director Hyun Sol Ip produced Return of Fortunate Bok and You Drive Me Crazy.
