Will Jo Byung Gyu and Jung So Min work together in the new fantasy historical drama?
On Jan 27, tvN told Newsen, “We have offered Jo Byung Gyu and Jung So Min the lead roles of the new drama Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector Jo Yi (literal title). The actors are reviewing their offers now.”
Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector Jo Yi is a fantasy historical drama lazy secret royal inspector, a nosy lady who is full of desire and passion, and nameless women teaming up to investigate corrupt officials and uncover the massive conspiracy.
If Jo Byung Gyu and Jung So Min confirm their appearance, they will each take on the role of the secret royal inspector and a “new woman” in the 17th century Joseon.
The drama, which is in talks to be programmed in the second half of this year, will be helmed by Descendants of the Sun director Yoo Jong Seon and penned by film Miss & Mrs. Cops screenwriter Lee Jae Yoon.
