Despite the continued controversy, Mr. Queen will be continuing their sweeping upturn as they confirmed the production of “bonus” episodes.
On Jan 8, Ilgan Sports reported that an insider has confirmed that “tvN’s weekend drama Mr. Queen has recently completed its filming, but after a few days of rest, they will begin the production of bonus episodes.”
According to the insider, one more episode has been added to the script, and it will be released in six 10-minute episodes. However, how these episodes will be unveiled is still under discussion. The production crew and the actors are getting into the production with the idea that Mr. Queen became a 21-part drama.
Mr. Queen, which recently aired its 8th episode, has been seeing a constant rise in viewer ratings since the first episode, garnering 12.3% in the latest episode. However, it has been embroiled in various controversies from the get-go, starting with the fact that it’s based on a novel that shows “anti-Korean sentiments.”
