VICTON is raising expectations for their comeback with a first full-length album.
The release of the full-length album, VOICE : The future is now, on the 11th will be their return to the K-Pop scene in about 9 months. The group’s album and song broke their own record last year, as they held their first exclusive concert ‘Mayday’, and hosted a 4th Anniversary fan meeting ‘BACK TO THE WONDERLAND’. As VICTON is on their way to solid growth, let’s have a look at three reasons why their new album is anticipated.
1. The First Full Length Album
Being the first full-length album that VICTON releases since 4 years of their debut, VOICE : The future is now holds the group’s pride and ambition for a new leap forward into “a dreamlike reality that they have hoped for.” The title track “What I Said” is a Latin-pop dance song that signifies the start of the “dream-like reality,” perfected by talented producers such as Ryan Jhun, Scott Stoddary, and You Ha.
2. Solo Tracks Which Highlight Each Member’s Charms
Something else to also look out for in this album is the members’ solo songs. “Carry on” by Seung Sik is written based on what the 6 members wanted to tell him, while Heo Chan’s “Eyes on You” was self-composed and earlier revealed in a concert. Se Jun’s “Utopia” tells the story of being free in the midst of a dark time and confined space, and Han Se’s self-composed song “Where Is Love?” talks about the difficulties he faced in life in a heartfelt way. The solo songs of four members each add individuality to the album, making it more complete.
3. Masters of Performance and Participating in Songwriting
In addition to the solo track, Han Seung Woo participated in writing “All Day,” a fan-song about all the moments they were together. As such, the members demonstrated their musical growth by writing and composing most of the tracks in the first full-length album. Furthermore, as VICTON performed as a ‘complete’ group with 7 members since last year’s 6th mini-album CONTINUOUS, they show off the abilities as masters of performances. Whilst they always present an upgraded level of performances in each album, the group once again raises expectations for their stage with the new song “What I Said.”
VICTON will greet their fans with the new song at 8 p.m. KST on the 11th through Mnet and M2’s digital channel, as they globally air VICTON’s Comeback Show : The future is now.
