The number of MBC drama series will drop drastically in 2021. In 2021, MBC will not air its Monday and Tuesday series, while it will bring back the Wednesday and Thursday series in March after a two-month hiatus.
MBC claims to “focus” on its “decision,” as it reorganized next year’s drama lineup, which has been reduced. As Kairos came to an end recently, MBC had completely excluded the Mon-Tues series from its 2021 broadcasting schedule. MBC plans to focus its efforts on the Wed-Thurs series instead.
However, the Wed-Thurs series will also go into a hiatus for two months after The Spy Who Loved Me. Oh! Master (literal title), starring Lee Min Ki and Nana, will be the first drama series to be aired on weekdays in March 2021.
Whilst MBC temporarily put an end to the Mon-Tues series, it confirmed 5 new series on the lineup for Wednesdays and Thursdays. After starting with Oh! Master (literal title), Unless You Go Mad (literal title) with Moon So Ri will be aired on the first half of the year, followed by Namgung Min’s The Black Sun and Red End of a Sleeve (literal title) in the second half of 2021.
