Recently, KBS’s entertainment show Entertainment Weekly covered the topic of actors/singers who “reborn” with beauty after intense dieting or workout.
1. Cho Yeo Jeong
Cho Yeon Jeong used to have a chubby figure, but after an intense workout and diet, she managed to lose 20 kg (about 44 lbs). Now, she boasts a slim yet healthy figure.
2. Lee Jong Suk, Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin
These three actors were famous for their slender body types at the beginning of their careers. But after much effort, they created the broad shoulder, becoming the “wanna-be” body for both sexes.
3. Jessi
Jessi completed her “apple hip” after exercising three hours every day. After a breast implant and double-eyelid surgery, this singer got to “reborn” as Korea’s sexiest hip hop warrior.
4. Soo Ae & 5. Suzy
Soo Ae grabbed attention with her bubbly image with a cute snaggletooth. But after diet and orthodontic treatments, she became the definition of elegance, winning the title of “dress Soo Ae.” In her early acting career, Suzy was compared with other actresses with her “chubby” figure, but after much care, she became the “Korea’s first love.”
6. Seolhyun & 7. Kwanghee & 8. Ock Joo Hyun
Seolhyun went from 60 kg (about 132 lbs) to 40 kg (about 88 lbs). Kwanghee started a new chapter after his plastic surgery and diet, and Ock Joo Hyun lost 25 kg (about 55 lbs) through yoga and diet therapy.
9. Kang Ha Neul
When he was a student, he was teased by his classmates for being fat and even suffered social phobia. But Kang Ha Neul went on a diet to become an actor and became a “handsome actor.”
10. Song Hye Kyo
When Song Hye Kyo appeared in Autumn Tale, she was criticized for looking too healthy even when her role is supposed to look pale from illness. After that, the actress lost 17kg (about 37 lbs).
