New Comedy Movie ‘Night of the Undead’ Sold to 6 Countries

The movie Night of the Undead, which has been praised as this year’s Chuseok season’s best comedy movie, also enjoyed a great success in overseas sales.

The Contents ON confirmed that Night of the Undead, which was released on Sept. 29 and has been heating up the box office amid the audience’s rave reviews, were sold to 6 countries, and two countries have already decided on the release date.

Night of the Undead were sold to Taiwan (Caichang), Vietnam (Lotte Vietnam), Indonesia (Moxienotion (PT Mitra Media Layar Lebar)), Hong Kong, Macau (Edko Films), Japan (King Records), and the Philippines (Viva Communications), and of them, Taiwan and Vietnam already confirmed its release on Oct. 30.

An official from Caichang said, “Recently, the comedy genre has been getting more popular with Taiwanese audiences. On top of that, ‘Night of the Dead’ has a different uniqueness from traditional Korean comedy. The novel yet comic theme of the movie will attract people’s attention. Added with actors with strong ticket powers, we are looking forward to seeing great results.”

Night of the Undead, starring Lee Jung Hyun, Kim Sung Oh, Seo Young Hee, Yang Dong Geun, and Lee Mi Do, is a sci-fi comedy thriller that tells the story of three women joining hands to kill “Unbreakable,” an immortal man. It is the new film by director Shin Jung Won, best known for To Catch A Virgin Ghost, Chaw, and Ghost Sweepers.
