SuperM and Super Junior’s Choi Siwon were the only K-pop artists to be invited to the Indonesian Television Awards 2020 (ITA 2020).
SuperM and Choi Siwon participated in ITA, which took place at 9 p.m. on Sept. 25 (local time), online, proving their global popularity.
ITA is an annual award ceremony for Indonesian broadcasting hosted by the RCTI network, founded by Indonesia’s largest media group MNC. This year, SuperM and Choi Siwon, the only K-pop artists invited to the event, were honored with “Special Award” and “The Most Prominent Korean Artist,” respectively.
SuperM said, “We sincerely thank you for inviting us to this amazing ceremony. We were honored with this award thanks to all the love and support we received. We will continue to work hard, so please give us lots of love.” Choi Siwon thanked his fans, saying, “It is more special than usual to receive such an award online. I promise you that I will continue to be an Asian artist who always works hard.”
At the awards ceremony, the two artists also appeared as presenters for the “Popular Weekend Program” and “Most Influential Celebrity.”
