J-Hope’s solo song “Chicken Noodle Soup” has set a milestone on the iTunes chart.
On the morning of Sept. 19 KST, “Chicken Noodle Soup” topped Gambia’s iTunes Top Song Chart. With this, the song has topped iTunes Top Song Chart in a total of 100 countries.
As a result, J-Hope became the third member of BTS to set such a record, following V (“Sweet Night”) and Jin (“Moon”). On Sept. 14, his solo mixtape album “Hope World” topped the iTunes Top Album Chart in 100 countries, making J-Hope the first artist to land at No. 1 for both his debut album and debut single in 100 countries.
“Chicken Noodle Soup,” which was released on Sept. 27, 2019, has received much attention through collaboration with Becky G. The music video is on the verge of achieving 200 million views as it recently surpassed 194.81 million views.
The song tells J-Hope’s street dancer days, which he rarely talks about. He once said, “I thought it was the music I wanted and the track that expresses who I really am.”
