Shin Min Ah showed her confidence in her acting transformation.
On August 13, a press conference for movie Diva was held online. Director Jo Seul Hye, Shin Min Ah, Lee Yoo Young, and Lee Kyu Hyung attended the event.
When asked about why she chose the film, Shin Min Ah answered, “The intensity of the scenario was amazing. As I followed Lee Young’s emotional line, I thought, ‘What would I be like?’ That’s how I got into Lee Young’s feelings. I thought it would be fun to express it. It may be difficult and complicated to show Lee Young while diving, but I wanted to give it a try.”
She then said, “Some officials told me that they saw the whole new side of me. Even I thought, ‘Do I look like that?’ while watching the teaser and poster, and it was fresh and unfamiliar since I never got to show such sides.”
Shin Min Ah and Lee Yoo Young also talked about the training they had to go through. “We exercised on land for two hours, and did underwater/diving training for about an hour and a half. There are muscles and exercises needed for fivers, so we mainly worked on that,” they said.
Meanwhile, Diva is a mystery thriller that takes place with the awakening of latent desire and madness after the “diving queen” Lee Young was involved in a mysterious car accident.
