Hongbin will officially leave VIXX.
On August 7, Jellyfish Entertainment stated, “First, we’d like to thank all the fans who love VIXX, and we’re sad to bring you this news. Hongbin has announced his intention to leave the team after 7 years. After careful discussion with the other VIXX members and Hongbin, we decided to respect his decision and let him leave the group.”
VIXX will continue as a five-member team. Previously, Hongbin suspended all his activities after he made disparaging remarks about other idols, and at the time, he and his label apologized. Earlier the same day the label made an official statement, Hongbin hinted at his return to Twitch.
Later that night, Ravi (member of VIXX) expressed his feelings via Instagram Story.
“I’m a bit cautious about saying something. I thank everyone next to me now and hope that there will be more happy moments than hurtful moments for everyone who supports us. I hope everyone has a good night.”
