‘The Golden Holiday’ Filmed in Real Prison with Real Prisoners?

Actor Kim Sang Ho described filming in real prions with real prisoners in the Philippines for the movie The Golden Holiday.

The press conference for the movie The Golden Holiday �(directed by Kim Bong Han) was held online on July 22.

The Golden Holiday is a crime comedy film about a detective who is caught up in a global crime on his first overseas trip. Kwak Do Won plays Hong Byung Soo, a detective who becomes a suspect in a murder case in his first overseas trip to the Philippines. Kim Dae Myung plays the role of Man Chu, a local guide who becomes Byung Soo’s investigation partner. Kim Hee Won takes on the role of Patrick, a killer of the criminal organization, while Kim Sang Ho plays Yong Bae, Byung Soo’s close friend.

Kim Sang Ho said, “We filmed in a real prison in the Philippines. We even worked together with actual prisoners and they were very cooperative,” drawing attention. “But I like the set better. (In the real prison) We naturally get humble.” In response, director Kim Bong Han said, “The actors were with the real prisoners, but I couldn’t tell them apart,” giving a big laugh.

Meanwhile, the fact that Kim Dae Myung and Yoo Yeon Seok, who starred in Hospital Playlist as best friends, will compete in the summer theater has grabbed the attention. Kim Dae Myung said, “We often talk to each other and we mostly show supports. We tell each other to take care and eat healthy,” showing off their friendship.

The Golden Holiday will be released in August.
