Tae Il is a touching drama about the life of Jeon Tae Il, a symbolic figure in the history of the Korean labor movement who dedicated himself to the rights of workers. It is a long-running animation project prepared by Myung Films and Jeon Tae Il Foundation. Since the presentation in November 2018, the fundraising with Together Kakao has been completed with the participation of more than 10,000 people.

The voice of Tae Il, a young man who is always bright and warm for others despite his difficult environments, will be played by rising star Jang Dong Yoon. Jang Dong Yoon, who was spotlighted as a righteous and brave college student through a news interview done after he caught the mugger, has broadened his fields by appearing in projects, such as Mr.Sunshine, Just Dance, and The Tale of Nokdu.

The voice of Tae Il’s mother (Lee So Sun), who devoted herself to her family’s living and continued Tae Il’s messages after he passed away, is played by Yeom Hye Ran, an actress famous for her profound acting prowess.

Jin Sun Kyu will play Tae Il’s father, who is a bit curt but always believe in his son. Park Cul Min will play Shin, the tailor in the Seoul Peace Market, while Kwon Hae Hyo plays the head of Han Mi Sa (tailor shop) in the Seoul Peace Market.

The second poster shows Jeon Tae Il, a young man who looks down and struggles with a lighter next to a gasoline can. The poster conveys his agony of wanting to change the world through his own sacrifice.

The phrase “You Are Me” conveys that the story of young Jeon Tae Il is in line with our own story these days, drawing deep resonance and empathy.

Now, animation Tae Il, which is currently in full swing in production, started its second fundraising with Jeon Tae Il Foundation.
