OCN’s new Dramatic Cinema Search released a teaser video of Krystal and Jang Dong Yoon.
OCN’s new drama Search is the country’s first military thriller drama set in the demilitarized zone. It tells the story of a mysterious disappearance and murder at DMZ and the elite search party formed to reveal its secrets.
It is the fourth work of OCN’s Dramatic Cinema, following Trap, Strangers from Hell and Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation, which has received enthusiastic reviews from viewers for their well-made works that present the special collaboration between movies and dramas.
Actor Jang Dong Yoon plays Yong Dong Jin, a sergeant and a handler of a military dog. He unexpectedly joins the search party as a handler of “Mac” while waiting solely for the date of his discharge.
Krystal, on the other hand, will play the role of Son Ye Rim, a perfectly qualified army first lieutenant. She excels in everything with her outstanding brains and physical strength. She will join the search party as a special officer to identify unidentified incidents taking place in the DMZ.
Expectations are high for Jang Dong Yoon, who showed a broad spectrum from historical works to modern works, and Krystal, who showed excellent performance in OCN’s Player in 2018.
Search is the first drama to challenge a new genre set in the demilitarized zone. In particular, the stories of hidden secrets in DMZ and the people who gather to fulfill their own purposes are expected to provide exciting tension.
