The music world welcomes a fresh face as Olivia Marsh, known by her stage name Gyuna, makes her debut.
Interest peaked when a comment surfaced on the music video for “LAVA,” Gyuna’s soundtrack for the drama Hide, gaining attention online. A comment from an international fan read, “Gyuna! Congratulations on your debut. I know how hard you’ve been working for this. Wish you all the best and hope you to become a great artist like your sister.”
Gyuna has been identified as the older sister of Danielle from the popular group NewJeans. Olivia Marsh, who had a stint as a child model years back, showcased her vocal talents back in 2018 at the Young Artist Festival, where she delivered a compelling rendition of Sara Bareilles’ “Gravity.”
Both Danielle and Olivia hold dual citizenship in Australia and South Korea. With Danielle already achieving global fame with NewJeans, the debut of her sister Gyuna has sparked interest in whether the siblings will continue their family’s musical legacy.
This isn’t the first time siblings have made waves in the music industry. Other notable sister acts include Lee Chaeyeon and ITZY’s Chaeryeong, former Girls’ Generation member Jessica and Krystal, and WANNA.B’s Bang Hyunah and Girl’s Day’s Minah, all of whom have received love and recognition for their contributions to the music scene.
