Kim Seon Ho has been seen quietly focusing on theater rehearsals, marking his first public update following recent tax-related allegations.
The production team behind his upcoming stage play Secret Passage (literal title) shared rehearsal photos showing the actor dressed in a beige knit top, appearing thinner.
Despite the controversy, the play has proven Kim’s continued ticket power. All 19 performances featuring him sold out immediately after opening, signaling strong audience support. The production runs through March 22nd, with a third round of ticket sales scheduled for today, drawing further attention to demand.
Kim was recently embroiled in allegations that he had engaged in effective tax evasion through a family company. It was reportedly registered at the same address as his residence in Yongsan, Seoul, with his parents listed as internal director and auditor. Questions were also raised over whether the firm functioned as a paper company, as it was not registered as an entertainment management business and its actual operations were unclear.
In response, Kim’s agency Fantagio stated that the actor took preemptive corrective action after recognizing issues with the company’s operation. According to the agency, Kim returned all corporate card usage, family salaries, and company vehicles, paid additional personal income tax on top of previously paid corporate tax, and is currently in the process of shutting down the company.
For now, Kim Seon Ho remains focused on the stage, maintaining silence while continuing his work.
