Park Bo Young and Park Jin Young, stars of the recently wrapped tvN drama Our Unwritten Seoul, have come together once more—this time for a romantic couple pictorial with ELLE Korea.
Shot with a warm, intimate concept, the photos capture the chemistry that made viewers fall for their on-screen relationship. After the shoot, the duo sat down for an interview reflecting on the series’ conclusion and the emotional ride it took them on.
Asked how she felt saying goodbye to Our Unwritten Seoul, Park Bo Young shared a moving review that stuck with her: “Someone wrote, ‘From the ‘unwritten’ Seoul to ‘Mi Ji’s’ Seoul, and finding ‘Mi Rae (future) in Seoul.’ That really touched me.”
Talking about working with Park Bo Young, Park Jin Young said, “The energy Bo Young noona gave me was different, and it made me react differently, naturally. We clicked from the beginning.”
Park Bo Young, who played the dual roles of Mi Ji and Mi Rae, was asked which personality she related to more. “I wish I had more of Mi J’s bold, upbeat spirit, but lately I’ve been feeling more like Mi Rae—quiet and calm.”
Park Jin Young, who portrayed Ho Su—a character living with hearing loss and emotional trauma tied to his mother—opened up about the challenges. “I really thought about how to make it feel real. Everyone has a wound, something they hide or avoid. Ho Su’s pain just happened to be a bit louder, a bit more visible. I tried to understand him through emotions we all share.”
The pair also shared which lines from the series stayed with them. Park Bo Young chose a line from the grandmother character: “If it’s to survive, then it’s all brave.” Park Jin Young picked a moment from Se Jin’s grandfather: “Why try to go all the way to the last stop? You can get off when you want.” He added, “It reminded me that the journey matters just as much as the destination.”
