NewJeans appealed against the court’s injunction banning their independent activities, but the appeal was dismissed.
SPOTV News reported on June 17th that the Seoul High Court dismissed NewJeans’ injunction appeal this afternoon.
The Seoul Central District Court fully granted ADOR’s injunction against the five members of NewJeans, prohibiting them from signing advertising contracts or carrying out activities independently without ADOR’s consent. The members filed an objection to the injunction and promptly appealed when it was rejected.
However, the court once again upheld ADOR’s position in the appeal trial. As a result, NewJeans are now unable to carry out independent activities without ADOR’s approval.
NewJeans have made it clear they have no intention of returning to ADOR. At the recent second hearing in ADOR’s lawsuit to confirm the validity of their exclusive contract with NewJeans, the members stated, “The trust between us has completely broken down. We’ve crossed a point of no return.”
