Ahn Hyo Seop is starting 2026 on a major U.S. stage. The actor is set to appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, marking his official American talk show debut.
More than a one-off overseas stop, the appearance underscores Ahn’s rising global profile. The Tonight Show is one of the most influential platforms in U.S. entertainment, regularly hosting the world’s biggest stars—and Ahn’s booking signals just how far his reach has grown.
The timing follows a nonstop run. Ahn recently lent his voice to Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, is gearing up for the international rollout of the film Omniscient Reader, and continues filming the SBS drama Sold Out Again Today. KPop Demon Hunters became a breakout success, topping 500 million cumulative views worldwide just 27 weeks after release.
The film’s momentum spilled into awards season, winning Best Animated Feature from the New York Film Critics Circle and landing nominations at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. Ahn’s character, Jin Woo, emerged as a fan favorite, while the soundtrack earned multiple Grammy nominations and double-platinum certification.
Critics singled out Ahn for anchoring the story as Jin Woo of the Saja Boys, praising his performance for giving the character real emotional weight—well beyond standard voice work.
Global interest continues to build as Omniscient Reader has been sold to 113 countries ahead of its staggered release. Until now, Ahn’s U.S. promotions were largely remote, including interviews with CBS News and Time, despite steady interest from international media.
That makes The Tonight Show his first official in-person U.S. stage, with additional appearances planned on major American networks, including CNN. He’ll carry that momentum into 2026 with Sold Out Again Today.
Ahn Hyo Seop’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 11:35 PM ET/PT on NBC, and streams the next day on Peacock.
