Several K-pop acts made a major impact on the Circle Chart in Week 50, with HUNTR/X, Hwasa, WayV, and Doyoung claiming top spots across multiple categories.
The Korea Music Content Association announced that during Week 50 (December 7th–13th), HUNTR/X topped the Global K-pop Chart, Hwasa earned an impressive five wins, while WayV and Doyoung each secured two chart crowns.
HUNTR/X—alongside EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami, and the KPop Demon Hunters cast—continued their remarkable streak as “Golden” held No. 1 on the Global K-pop Chart for a 24th consecutive week. The track, featured on Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, quickly sparked a wave of cover performances after its release and has since become a global trend.
Hwasa scored a five-crown sweep with “Good Goodbye,” which surged back up the charts following her performance at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. The song topped the Digital Chart (Circle Index score of 21,266,552), as well as the Streaming, V Caller Ring, Ringtone, and Dial Tone charts. A heartfelt track about wishing a “good goodbye” to a deeply loved person, the song highlights Hwasa’s emotionally charged vocals.
WayV claimed two wins with Eternal White – Winter Special Album, which reached No. 1 on both the Album Chart (140,000 copies sold) and the Retail Album Chart (33,127 copies). The group’s first-ever winter special album features seven tracks, including the title song “Eternal White.”
Doyoung also earned two chart-toppers with his ballad “Promise,” which ranked No. 1 on both the Download and BGM charts.
On the Social Chart 3.0—seen as a snapshot of K-pop’s global popularity—TWICE held onto the No. 1 spot for the 10th consecutive week. This week, fromis_9 recorded the biggest jump in rankings.
Meanwhile, new entries in the Global K-pop Chart Top 200 for the week included ALLDAY PROJECT’s “LOOK AT ME,” which debuted at No. 32.
